I am excited to announce the creation of the 308 Running Project. The 308 Running Project is being created to help establish a distance running group for Scottsbluff youth beginning at the age of 8 and going up to middle school athletes.
The mission of the 308 Running Project is to build CHAMPIONS by helping athletes grow physically and mentally. We will provide an accepting, positive and supportive environment that will encourage our athletes to become a contributing team member that loves running and puts the teams goals first. We will be meeting two times a week for 45 minute practice sessions. Practices consist of strength and mobility drills, distance running, and stretching. There will be at least two race opportunities during the season. Athletes will compete at race distances of 2 kilometers to 3 kilometers. We plan on having at least one of the races on the same day as the Scottsbluff High School Invite. Our season will begin in the summer and end in the early fall.
